Annica is a spunky girl who has been coming to therapy since she aged out of Birth To Three services.
At the beginning, she wasn’t so sure about the big goals we had planned for her. When she first started, she was not able to walk or crawl and relied on her family to carry her throughout her home. Additionally, she was not able to transition back into sessions without Mom present and needed assistance for almost all of her self-care tasks throughout the day.
You should see how fast she is now! She can walk with her walker, roll in her wheelchair, or crawl around her home, and nothing gets in her way. In fact, Annica has participated in our annual triathlon two times already and is excited to get her own bike soon, so she can ride around her neighborhood with her best friend. Annica has made strides towards not only her self-care goals, but also her functional play and social skills. She has learned how to get dressed all by herself and is SO CLOSE to mastering getting in her socks and shoes on her own as well. She also now takes herself right back into the clinic with no issues. She is a social butterfly and loves making friends all around the clinic!
Mom says, “MSS has been instrumental in Annica’s success. The support, encouragement, hope, and strength they have shown us, and more importantly taught Annica, has been completely immeasurable. They will always be one of our family’s biggest blessings!”.
